First Blue Flag of 2020 for Tivat – Montenegro
Montenegro is a country well known for its stunning scenery and pristine beaches, and since the Internationally accepted & recognised Blue Flag scheme was introduced in Montenegro back in 2003, 32 bathing areas have now come under the spotlight, and have met the necessary criteria to be awarded ‘Blue Flag’ status.
It’s with great pride that we now announce, that on the 8th June Karladovo Beach in Tivat became the 33rd area, and the first for Montenegro in 2020, to join the prestigious club, and at a brief ceremony attended by representatives of the Service for Sustainable Development of Marine Property, the flag was raised by Željka Radak Kukavičić, who is the Director of the National Tourist Organization.
Already in 2020, there are another ten areas of Montenegro that have been registered for phase one, and if they pass the next level then they too will become blue flag status, bringing the total number to 43, and it’s thanks to the hard work of the area’s patrons and leaseholders, along with the Montenegrin tourist board that the numbers have surged over the last few years.
Of course, there’s plenty of reasons to visit or to own your own Property in Montenegro, but now with 33 areas coming under ‘Blue Flag’ status, surely it’s next on your list now?
